Marion Sorenson completely shredded Durham's defense
with big pass plays getting 303yds and 2TDs on only 18
completions. He also got solid help from HB Eric
Debow who put up 88yds on 25 carries. And a big play
game from WR Tripp Roberts who had 4 receptions for
138yds. Both teams struggled on defense but it was
the outstanding play of Sorenson that made this game.
He did make one mistake an interception returned for a
touchdown, but other than that he was excellent.
Panic is starting to set in in Durham who lost their
3rd game in a row this week. Another solid
performance from Mark Oates who was 20 of 36 for
275yds with 2TDs. His favorite target is quickly
becoming Rory Rocker who had 134yds on 8 receptions.
But a sluggish running game behind HB Leonard Kern
hurt Durham's ability to control the game and keep
Sorenson and the Durham defense off the field. The
defense is in desperate need to figure out what is
happening as they have struggled over the past 3 weeks
giving up at least 20 points a game. Don't be
surprised to see some personnel changes on defense
next week as Durham goes on the road to Greensboro in
a big divisional matchup.
