Wilson 7 at Kinston 13

The Kinston running game and defense were too much for the Tobs to overcome.  As always the Eagles offense is struggling to score points, but their defense is really good, and this year they have one of the best running games in the League.  This should make them a better team than they were last season when they won the Division.  The problem is the Rocky Mount Leafs so far are a better team.  That should be a good battle for the Division title.

Kinston
Robert Ramos 10/24 125yds 1TD 1Int

Gastonia 24 at Asheville 7

The Pirates completely dominated this game.  Asheville was unable to do anything on either side of the ball.  They were unable to put any pressure on James Martin or slow down James Carter on defense, and couldn't create any holes or protect Charles Kissane on offense.  But despite all of this, twice in this game Asheville had the ball first and goal and came away with no points.  The Pirates really should have won by a lot more than they did.

Gastonia
James Martin 23/43 234yds 1TD 1Int

Salisbury 17 at Winston-Salem 0

Another solid game for David Harley and the Salisbury defense.  It took a while for the Popes offense to get rolling, but once they did Harley ran all over the Twins.  Pierre Taylor had another solid game for the Twins, but he was under heavy pressure the whole game.  In fact the Popes had 17 sacks in the game.  Salisbury also has to be happy with Trent Jeffcoat who had his best game of the season.
