Two big trades this week in the NCFA
Durham trades this years number 1 draft pick DE Mark
Macarthur to Burlington for G Alberto Frank. Frank
will move into a starting role for Durham who already
has a young and potent defensive line. Burlington
sees this as a move toward the future as their
defensive line is aging.
Greensboro who has built up a young linebacker core
over the past few seasons traded one of their big
potential players John Young to Asheville for a young
and proven DT Whitney Gadson. Gadson had been a
starter for Asheville his first two years in the
league but found himself coming off the bench this
year. He will now be starting for Greensboro and
Asheville gets a big boost to their linebacking core
which is quite old. Young will see some playing time
this season, but should be a starter next.
